My California poppies. I drew the idea myself, and marvelous Dan at American Classic tattoo helped me with the flowers, which I seriously failed at drawing. The crook in the largest root is the shape the river makes by the town where I grew up. I got it when I moved to Spain, it helps me remember I’m grounded, even though I’ve pulled up those roots.

1. My dad and I share this hobby since many years back. Taking our binoculars with us on early saturday mornings and watch birds at different observation sites near our home. I will always treasure those days we spent together, because it was something only he and I did and we could talk about everything.
2. Tne of my all time favouritesongs is “Blackbird” by the Beatles.

This is my first tattoo. It’s still healing in the picture. I designed it myself. My tattoo artist is simply amazing and I plan on going to her for the rest of my tattoos for life. I highly recommend her work. She usually does really detailed portraits and Art Nouveau.

I wanted something small, simple, and adorable.
I decided to start small to make sure I wasn’t going to be a total pussy about the pain. I didn’t want to start out with something huge and obnoxiously cry through the whole thing.
I named them Wembley and Thaddius.
They’re a constant reminder to live freely, and stay clever.
